Soldiers and SANTA....

Today, we went and had a visit with Santa... He asked us if we were being good-girls, and he also asked what we wanted for Christmas this year... We told him Elmo, and big Elmos, and..and...and...big-big Elmos... Santa let out a big deep laugh... we were so excited to see Santa, we didn't know what to tell him, and all that came out was E-L-M-O...
Then we picked out lots of toys for Soldiers... They were all really kind and they ALL gave us hugs... They asked us if we would be willing to be in their flier for Toys-For-Tots... so we posed for pictures with the soldiers... they gave us pencils, stickers, and magnets.  Another fun day...  We're starting to really like this Christmas-feeling....  Mommy and daddy says, "Wait until it's the 25th, when Jesus is born!"

We're feeling better!

Hello everyone... it's Riley... I've been under the weather for a few days, so haven't been able to get to the computer.  Hopefully, Raegan has kept you up-to-date.  I'm feeling much better today, and woke up a whole new girl.  My sister Raegan is feeling better too.  Our temperatures are well under control, and we're back to eating and drinking again.. woohoo...

So, for our afternoon treat and activity today, mommy and daddy had these graham crackers and let us make this yummy buttercream icing...
These popsicles were the greatest....
We didn't let much go to waste....
Raegan made a house that was a little more colorful than mine (above).  But mine (below) had these chocolate mint circles that were delicious!  I couldn't get enough of them...   It felt like we were on Cake-Challenge or Ace-of -Cakes on Food Network.  :)  We had lots of fun and shared many giggles...

Happy Birthday DADDY!!!

Hi everyone... it's Riley.... look at the cake we baked for daddy!!!  Mommy let us mix the cake batter, ice the chocolate, and pipe on the turtle... daddy was quite surprised!!!
Happy birthday, DADDY... from all your girls :)

Christmas is approaching FAST... and we're READY!!!

Good evening, it's me Raegan... I got away from playing with Riley to catch you up on what we've done this week.  Earlier this week, mommy and daddy got out Christmas decorations!  We sang Christmas carols and ate these yummy striped peppermint sticks that look like J's...
I (Raegan) helped mommy put labels on Christmas cards to get them mailed out early this year.  You can tell I was working hard, so when she wasn't looking, I tried to surprise her with what I thought was a big help... she and daddy giggled a lot when they saw me...I love stickers!!!
While I was helping mommy with the cards, Riley was helping daddy with making Bumpa's pecan rolls... we sure didn't realize how long it takes for dough to rise!  WOW... it took some patience to finally get to eat them... but well worth the wait... THEY WERE GOOD!!!
The best part of it all.... THE GOOP!  That sugary stuff that's all over the pecans.... mmmm....
Mommy and daddy told us about a guy named Santa Claus.... I guess he has two names... St. Nicholas.. hmmm...  I'm hoping he'll stop by our house this year...mommy and daddy says he hasn't lost track of our family... he knows where we are :)... so when it get's closer, we're going to bake him some treats and put it out for him...
We were in charge of decorating the tree all by ourselves... wait until you see what we've done!!!  All the balls, and shiny bulbs that they called "ornaments" were put on the tree by my sister and I.  As you can see, they are all nicely placed throughout the bottom of the tree... We are so proud of it, and mommy and daddy tells us it's the prettiest tree we've ever had!  Good job sister!  We did it!  Now... countdown to Christmas!!!

Thanksgiving 2010

In the photo above, it's me Riley... doing crosswords with Papa....
We played a lot of board games... Catan was the new one this year.... all we heard was trading wheat and wood for ore... and once in a while we'd hear uncle Bud Baaaaa like a sheep... WEIRD game...
Nana let us help with baking chocolate chip cookies.  We got to taste-test the chocolate chips to make sure they were okay to use in the cookies... mmmmm....
Uncle Bud and Daddy went sledding with us in the back of the cabin..... it was cold... but lots of fun!
Thank you nana for all our winter gear!!!  It kept us warm and cozy :)...
The photo above is Riley... The photo below is Raegan....

We had many adventures with brown bear... He had many names throughout the weekend... we enjoyed riding him too.. He tried to sneak up on daddy several times, but he didn't seem to frighten daddy... Then one night, brown bear snuck outside and was hanging out by the hot-tub when aunt Tami's friend Angie came up to visit.  Angie came around the corner, saw brown bear, and just about jumped off the deck with a loud scream of terror!!!  Even funnier, we were all watching it happen from inside the cabin.... :)

Thank you nana and papa for a wonderful Thanksgiving... Food was terrific, cabin was wonderful, snow was beautiful!!!  Thank you Aunt Tami, Uncle Bud, and Cousin Samm for great belly laughs and many many tickles... can't wait until next year.
Love you all,
Raegan and Riley.

HAIR....

This is what we would look like with mommy's hair... she placed her hair over our heads, and daddy snapped some photos... it was fun to play "pretend"... can you guess who's who in these photos... respond to this if you dare... (photo above is #1, photo below is #2)

Nana and Auntie Tami's Visit...

We were teletubbies this year... Tinky-Winky, and PO...
Nana and Auntie Tami came down to visit.  It was great to see them.  We had so much fun hanging out, eating yummy food, and going to the beach.  We did nothing but PLAY, PLAY, and PLAY....
We went trick-or-treating and made it to about 5 houses down our street...

Thanks for coming to play with us Nana and Auntie Tami... mommy says she wants to share more chocolate peanut-butter haag-n-daaz ice cream with you :)...

Our visit with Cousins in PLANO, TX...

We have never met our cousins Adam and Luke until this weekend...  They had lots of toys... kind of like TOYS R US in their rooms and they shared everything with us!
In the photo above, it's me, Mai... I really liked Adam... He's nice..and he's my new cousin!  I couldn't stop hugging him...and I really liked getting my photo taken with him! :)
Auntie Liz gave us so many snacks and treats.  She gave us everything she had in her pantry...Thanks, Auntie Liz!
When Uncle Brett got home from work, all we heard was random shouts of  "GO HAWKS"... hmm.... must run in the family or something...

We really liked their back yard... we really wanted to go for a swim in the pool, but we were told we could when we got older... Gee, so much to look forward to when we get just a little bit older :)...  Although, if you look really close at the photo above, we are swinging in BIG-girl swings, they aren't the bucket-swings you're used to seeing us in!  Uh-huh... and we rocked ourselves back and forth too, all by ourselves... Adam and Luke were climbing the bars... another thing I guess we'll have to wait 'til we get older to do :)...
Thanks for our new shades Auntie Liz... we see the whole world in PINK now... :)  We'll remember to remove the pink shades when we're learning our colors though...
Thanks Cousins for having us over!  We will come back soon for a dip in the pool :)...

Texas State Fair in DALLAS...

Sister and I had a great time at the TX State Fair...It was in Dallas, which was about a 5 hour drive from Victoria.
Sister and I worked hard at the farm.  We fed chickens, collected their eggs, milked cows, planted seeds, picked vegetables, and brought everything to the market to sell.  At the market, sister and I made 2 dollars.  Then, with our hard earned 2 dollars, sister and I bought ourselves some fruit snacks.  Working hard sure does pay-off...
Daddy played a game where he used a shotgun to shoot a star-target.  We were staring down Barney, hoping daddy would win it for us.  And before we knew it, Barney was in our truck making the five hour drive home with us!  We've taken very good care of Barney since we've brought him home.  Every morning, we'd run to say Good-morning to him, and each evening, we'd tuck him in with his big blank-ee.  He sleeps in the corner of our living room, since he's such a big friend.  If it were up to us, we would have asked daddy to win us 2 Barneys, but there was no way we would have all fit in the truck!  Someone would have had to stay in Dallas :).
Here's daddy trying out Guacamole bites... it's much like the Minnesota State Fair, but nothing's on-a-stick here in Texas...

We all liked the Texas Frito Pies.. Yes, Fritos are fried already... but these are with chili and cheese...  sister and I enjoyed them too with some sour cream!
This is Dao in a new vehicle... Thumbs up for all this room!  This one has my approval, daddy!
Fried Beer was interesting... but mommy and daddy said it was NOT tasty... something just wasn't right about it... but fun to try anyway...
Our favorite food at the fair was the Corny Dogs... Last year we remember having to share one, but since we're big-girls now, we got to have our own!  It was YUMMY....
